The main goals in the Middle East have been the maintenance of stability between Israel and its Arab neighbors, brokering peace agreements between Israel and hostile Arab countries, working on a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine. Addressing the situation in Iraq and Iran, which has been chronically unstable. Stabilizing oil markets and access to oil with the OPEC nations.

The main goal was to improve America's economic and political presence in the Middle East and also to develop what the motives were behind its presence. America showed primary interests which were to access to oil in the Gulf region, maintaining the United State's military base there and defending client-states and friendly regimes. America wanted to set its presence in the Middle East before and after World War 1 and World War 2.
