    Explanation:

    Pastorius, drafted a famous Germantown Quaker Petition Against Slavery, document issued in 1688, that is seen as the first protest against slavery in the colonies.

    It is interested that those who drafted petition with Pastorius were all Quakers, and all of them were German descendants. In the document they are discussing about the treatment of their fellow man, regardless of their skin. It is interesting that even later on Quakers were the ones that protested against the slavery in the colonies.
