What differences can you identify in how China, the Ottoman Empire, and Japan experienced Western imperialism and confronted it? How might you account for those differences?

    The difference was that China and the Ottoman empire were both more dependent upon the Western imperialism than Japan was.

    Explanation:

    Western military forces had acquired some of the area of both Ottoman empire and China but not Japan. All three China, the Ottoman empire and Japan were under control of Western force and forced to sign treaty which would favor Western force. However, Japan turned it out and made it in its own favor. Japan was smart to become more successful in modernization and industrialization than the Ottoman empire and China. These differences account because the Ottoman empire and China perceived more importance of European powers than Japan.
