How did the Chinese try to limit European trade and involvement in the mid-1760s?

    Canton system, an exchanging design that created amongst Chinese and outside shippers, particularly British, in the South China exchanging city of Guangzhou (Canton) from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century. The significant attributes of the system created in the vicinity of 1760 and 1842 when all outside exchange coming into China was restricted to Canton and the remote merchants entering the city were liable to a progression of controls by the Chinese government. To limit the European trade, the Chines restricted the trade to the City of Canton.
