president Roosevelt intervened in San Francisco decision to segregate Japanese students because he really believed in equal rights for all race. Agree or disagree?

    Explanation: President Roosevelt showed the Japanese that the segregation policies made by California never the reflected the ideals of the nation. The main aim of the Gentlemen's Agreement calm rising tension between both Pacific nations.

    President Roosevelt wanted to resolve the situation with three objectives which are;

    President Roosevelt wanted to prove to Japan that the segregation policies made by California was not in line and it did not reflect the ideals of the country at large.

    President Roosevelt tried to force the leaders of San Francisco to remove the segregation policies which the leaders of San Francisco were adamant and never yieled to the President's threat.

    President Roosevelt planned to reach a resolution to end the Japanese immigration problem thus the Gentlemen's Agreement was written. The Gentlemen's Agreement was an informal agreement between the United States America and Japan, enacted via unilateral action by President Roosevelt. However, the Gentlemen's Agreement was nullified by the Immigration act of 1924 this act legally banned all Asians from migrating to the United States of America.

    i believe that he did belive in equal rights for everyone no matter what the race was if he didnt i dont think he wouldve done it
