Why did Nixon explore better relations with the Soviet Union and China? Write your answer in a paragraph of 125 words.

    President Richard Nixon was 37th president of United States who was elected on 1968 from Republican party. He was known for foreign policy which was called as the Nixon Doctrine. During his office time he visited China which is one of the most important event on his time. His visit to China ended two decades no diplomatic relation. He also visited Soviet Union as the first US president. he explored better relation with both China and Soviet Union made a shift on the cold war. Some disarm treaties were signed with Soviet union. China started to open business with the capitalist world.
