Santa Anna marched to the Alamo in what is now San Antonio and was an unfinished Spanish mission. It was established in 1724 in order to convert the aboriginal people into Christianity. There was a misunderstanding. Sainte Anne's troops came to Alamo on February 23, 1836 and put her defenders under siege.

Santa Anna marched his force to the Alamo, an abandoned Spanish mission, located in what is now San Antonio. It had been established in 1724 to convert the local natives to Christianity. Arriving on February 23, 1836, Santa Anna's troops surrounded the Alamo, laying siege to its defenders.
