    Santa Anna marched to the Alamo in what is now San Antonio and was an unfinished Spanish mission. It was established in 1724 in order to convert the aboriginal people into Christianity. There was a misunderstanding. Sainte Anne's troops came to Alamo on February 23, 1836 and put her defenders under siege.
