In 1607, a small band of about 100 English colonists reached the coast near Chesapeake Bay. They founded Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement in North America. During the next 150 years, a steady stream of colonists went to America and settled near the coast.

The 1st English colony starts in American lands at Cape Henry, Virginia. The 1st permanent English settlement established in the New World at Jamestown, Virginia. Mentally ill emperor Rudolf II signs Treaty of Lieben, giving up Austria, Hungary & Moravia. The bank of genova fails after spain goes bankrupt. And the battle of gibralter takes place between the spainish and english.
