    The correct answer is Europeans needed to find more natural resources to increase their industrial production.

    Europe started developing factories and producing large amounts of goods and they couldn't get enough resources to keep the production at such a high level. They started colonizing areas of America and Africa and taking raw materials and resources to Europe where they would be refined and used to make products for sale.
