What similarities and differences between the arguments the pope and saladin use to persuade their listeners

    They both trust that they have to reclaim Jerusalem and the sacred land since that is the thing that God would need of them. They both attempt to persuade their audience members that they have to attack/campaign yet Saladin's method for saying it was more straightforward while the Pope's method for saying it was more thoughtful and influenced it to appear as though it was important to attack.
