    Jackson was a Democrat, so you can pretty confidently eliminate the first two. The electoral college was not a controversial issue that split American politics at the time, so the answer must be his veto for the Second National Back.

    This is supported by the fact that Jackson was wary of big government, having long criticized the National Bank. Whigs, on the other hand, were for large government, and wanted the National Bank to move forward.
