How did increased property foreclosures affect people during the dust bowl

Dust Bowl was an extensive period of dust storms that affected prairie regions in America and Canada. It was caused by severe drought, which was brought by wrong agricultural methods and damaged the ecology of the region. Dust Bowl took place in the 1930s and lasted for several years.

As a result of drought, numerous farmer families were forced to flee the region after drought persisted for several years. Those farmer families who had a mortgage on their property were unable to pay it due to drought and suffered the foreclosure from the banks. It was an additional factor that pushed people to exodus.
