    The key difference between first and second industrial revolution is that the first industrial revolution was centered on Textiles, steam power, and iron while the second was centered on steel, railroads, petroleum, chemicals and electricity.

    First and second industrial revolutions can be considered as the development in the human history. From 1760, industrial revolution began. In first industrial revolution, the economic conditions of the people improved. It originated in Great Britain and spread to Europe and north america within short period. There was a transition from human made goods to machine made goods due to the invention of electricity. Introduction to chemicals, iron and steel and utilization of steam and water power provided to be the power generating source.

    Second industrialization began in 1840 and it is precisely called to be the technological revolution. Many railroads were built which gave employment opportunities to many immigrants who came to America. means of telecommunications improved. Petroleum, paper making machines, automobiles, maritime technology, use of chemicals, etc. were also developed in a greater extent.
