3x-1/2 - 2 (4+3x) / 13 = 2
distribute
3x - 1/2 - 8/13 - 6x/13 = 2
combine like terms
3x-6x/13 - 1/2 - 8/13 = 2
multiply by 26 to get rid of the fractions (2*13)
26 * (3x-6x/13 - 1/2 - 8/13) = 2*26
78x - 12x - 13 - 16 = 52
66x - 29 = 52
add 29 to each side
66x = 81
x = 81/66
divide top and bottom by 3
x=27/22
x = 1 5/22
