What expression is equivalent to one fourth of the sum of 4 and the quotation of 56 and 7

    So while solving this I'm assuming quotation means quotient.

    So let's represent the unknown number as n:

    n = 1/4 (4 + 56/7)

    It shows one fourth of four + 56/7

    n = 1/4 (12)

    n = 12/4

    12 divided by 4 is 3

    So the unknown number is 3
