A grocery store sells chili peppers at $2.04 for a dozen. At this rate, what's the cost per pepper?

    There is a vfery simple way to answer this question, and that is to take your amount (in this case 2.04) and divide it by your rate (a dozen=12). 2.04/12=0.17.

    0.17 because you would do $2.04/12=0.17 so that would be the answer want to check it do 0.17*12=2.04 so 0.17 is your answer
