It takes 4 pounds of grapes to make 1 pound of raisins. How many pounds of grapes would you need to make 3000 pounds of raisins?

    4:1

    x:3000

    so you then cross multiply

    1·x=4·3000

    multiply,

    x=12000

    so the answer is it takes 12000 pounds of grapes to make 3000 pounds of raisins
