You usually buy a 5.4 ounce bottle of lotion. There is a new bottle that says it gives you 20% more free. Write an equation to be used to find the size of the larger bottle, x.

    20% is 1/5 more so it is 1 1/5 times the size of the smaller one. 1 1/5 is 1.2 as a decimal (also 120% divided by 100).

    Let's take the smaller bottle to be y.

    x=1.2y

    x=1.2*5.4=6.48 ounces.
