The ratio of black horses to white horses is 4 : 33.

    Solution:

Given that, A herd of 37 horses has 33 white and some black horses.

We have to find what is the ratio of black horses to white horses?

Now, number of black horses = total number of horses - number of white horses

    Number of black horses = 37 - 33 = 4 horses

Now, ratio of number of black horses to number of white horses = number of black horses : number of white horses

    = 4 : 33

Hence, the ratio of black horses to white horses is 4 : 33
