3-2 (9+2m) = m im confused on what to do?

    Step-by-step explanation:

    There is a variable so you are going to be careful.

    First you do the distributive property with the parenthesis.

    Since there is a negative infront of the two, you multiply everything by that negative number

    So - 2 times - 9 is 18 and - 2 times 2m is - 4m.

    Now your problem should look like this.

    3-18-4m=m

    Now combine like terms

    You should come up with:

    -15-4m=m

    Since you cannot add anything else you would leave it like that!

    So you add 9+2=11 then you do this 3-2 (11) then multiply 2*11=22 then do this 3-22=-19
