The average price of a gallon of milk at 5 supermarkets is $3.52. The prices at 4 of the supermarkets are $3.39, $3.82, $3.61, and $3.44, respectively. What is the price at the fifth supermarket?

    Adding all 5 prices together (substituting the fifth for x) and dividing by 5 (the total number of prices) gets us our equation. We know that this equals 3.52. So the cost of the fifth supermarkets milk is 3.17
