Sherise plans for 70% of the calories she eats each day to come from vegetables and grains. If Sherise eats 2,000 calories each day, how many calories should come from vegetables and grains?

    The answer to that question would be 1400. I got this answer by dividing 2000 from 70% or simply 0.70 because out of the 2000 total calories that Sherise will be consuming in one day, 70% is supposed to come from the vegetables and grains. So if you multiply 2000 with 0.70, then you will get an answer of 1400 calories. So to conclude the question if Sherise eats 2000 calories each day, 1400 calories out of the 2000 calories would come from vegetables and grains.
