A mechanic charges $25 per hour and $40 for each hour of overtime. For a job, the mechanic works 5 regular hours, an unknown amount of overtime hours, and charges $200 for new parts. The amount of the bill for the job is $525. Write and solve an equation to find the number of overtime hours the mechanic worked.

    The mechanic worked for 5 regular hours and got paid $25 for each hour which would give us $125 and then he also got paid $200 which in total would be $325. He also gets paid $40 for each hour of overtime which we dont know how many so we will use (x). In total his bill was $525.
