Based om what we know, we can write an equation

4 cups cranberry juice + 3 cups apple juice = 7 cups punch

We want to know how many cups of each juice does it take to make 4 times the initial recipe.

Four times the original recipe that makes 7 cups of punch can be written as

    4 * 7 which = 28 cups of punch

There was 4 cups of cranberry juice in 7 cups of punch, and now there is 28 cups, which

    4 times more.

So we multiply 4 cups of cranberry juice by 4 to get 16 cups of cranberry juice.

We do the same for the 3 cups apple juice. We multiply it by 4 to get 12 cups of apple juice.

So we need 16 cups of cranberry juice and 12 cups of apple juice.

Check our answer by adding the two juice together 16+12 = 28, it is indeed our amount of punch which is 7 * 4
