Solve the absolute value equation.

|6x - 1| + 4 = 1

    6x-1 = 1-4

    6x-1 = - 3

    Add 1

    6x = - 2

    Divide by 6

    X=-2/6

    X=-1/3 does not work Answer

    6x-1=3 X = 2/3. And 6 (2/3) - 1 = 3 absolute value of 3 is 3+4=7
