How do I solve x-6=3x by graphing?

    So, first you will want to put it in Slope-intercept form

    y=mx+b

    but since there is no y you will have to move the x to the 3x by subtracting to get 2x, and then you will have 2x=-6 which when you divide both sides by 2 you will get x=-3 my teacher taught me a trick where H0Y is for when you are only given a y and no x and VUX is for when you are given only a x and no y

    so you would get x=-3 which would be a vertical line (up and down line) at - 3 on a graph (I listed the tricks my teacher taught me below)

    Horizontal (horizontal line)

    0=slope (zero slope)

    Y = (your answer)

    Vertical (vertical line)

    Undefined slope

    X = (your answer)
