    f (x) = 3x+8 and g (x) = 6x+6 (f+g) (x) = f (x) + g (x) = (3x+8) + (6x+6) = 9x + 14 Then (f+g) (-1) = 9 (-1) + 14 = 5 f (x) = 6x+4 and g (x) = 3x+7 (f+g) (x) = f (x) + g (x) = (6x+4) + (3x+7) = 9x + 11 Then (f-g) (1) = 9 (1) + 11 = 20
