In a 45° - 45° - 90° right triangle, the length of the hypotenuse is 15. How long are the legs?

    This is a special right triangle and the hypotenuse is √2 as long as legs (a).

    a √ 2 = 15

    a = 15 : √ 2 = 15 : 1.4142135 = 10.6066 ≈ 10.6
