    3 (8X - 5) = - 4 (7 - 6X)

    First, you have to eliminate the parentheses, so you can see what you've got.

    On the left side, 3 (8X - 5) is the same thing as 24X - 15.

    On the right side, - 4 (7 - 6X) is the same thing as - 28 + 24X.

    So, now the equation is 24X - 15 = - 28 + 24X much easier to work with.

    Let's cut to the chase here. Subtract 24X from each side:

    -15 = - 28

    There is no value for 'X' that can make this a true statement,

    so the original equation has no solution.

    3 (8X-5) = - 4 (7-6X)

    3*8X - 3*5 = - 4*7 - 4 * (-6X)

    24X - 15 = - 28 + 24X

    24X - 24X = - 28 + 15

    0 = - 13

    Contradiction! Do not correspond to the number of equations!

    Solve linear equation as follows:

    - Unknown move to one side of the equation, and the numbers on the other side of the equation,

    - Multiply or divide both sides by a value in order to get the number of the unknown x,

    - The transfer number or unknown to the other side of the equation, change the sign to the opposite.
