The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 266 feet. If the width of the garden is 52 feet, what is its length?

    P = 2 (L + W)

    P = 266

    W = 52

    266 = 2 (L + 52)

    266 = 2L + 104

    266 - 104 = 2L

    162 = 2L

    162/2 = L

    81 = L < = = = the length is 81 ft
