For this you just substitute x for - 5, so ...

    (-x + 3) + (4 - 2x^2) + 3x

    = (--5 + 3) + (4 - 2 (-5) ^2) + 3 (-5)

    = (5 + 3) + (4 - 2 (25)) + - 15

    = 8 + (4 - 50) - 15

    = 8 + - 46 - 15

    = 8 - 46 - 15

    = - 53
