Whenever you round to the nearest tenth, you'd have to check the hundredth position. If the hundredth digit is in the range of 0-4, the tenth position stays the same. If the hundredth digit is in the range of 5-9, you add one to the tenth. For example, if I had 2.36 and I wanted to round it to the nearest tenth, I see that the hundredth digit, or 6, is greater than 4, so it rounds up to 2.4. If I had 2.32 and I wanted to round it to the nearest tenth, I see that the hundredth digit, or 2, is less than 5, it rounds to 2.3.
