The ratio of the length of an airplane wing to its width is 8 to 1. If the length of a wing is 28.2 meters, how wide must it be?

    The answer is z = w/8

    The answer is 28.2/8

    assume w = wings and z=width

    therefore w = 8z

    there fore z = w/8
