    Let x represent the first integer

    then the second integer is x + 1

    and the third integer is x + 2

    (x) + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 393 the sum of the 3 integers is 393

    3x + 3 = 393 added like terms

    3x = 390 subtracted 3 from both sides

    x = 130 divided both sides by 3

    since x = 130, then x + 1 = 131, and x + 2 = 132

    Answer: 130, 131, 132

    Remark

    Consecutive numbers are given as

    x, x + 1, x + 2

    when they are added together you get x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 3x + 3

    3x + 3 = 393 Subtract 3 from both sides.

    3x = 393 - 3

    3x = 390 Divide by 3

    x = 390/3

    x = 130

    So the three numbers are

    130

    131

    132
