Liam is setting up folding chairs for a meeting. If he arranges the chairs in 9 rows of the same length, he has 3 chairs left over. If he arranges the chairs in 7 rows of that same length, he has 15 left over. How many chairs does Liam have?

    there are 57 chairs ... if you use the equations 9x+3 and 7x+15 then sub 57 in for x, you will get the same answers, 57!
