    Ccows = x

    Chickens = y

    x+y = 34

    4x + 2y = 110 or 2x + y = 55

    subtract them

    x = 21

    so, 21 Cows and 13 Chickens, Total = 34

    check:

    Cowlegs = 84

    Chickenlegs = 26

    Total = 110
