Yanni's scooter uses 7 gallons of gasoline to travel 85 kilometers. His dad does some mechanical work to the scooter such that it now uses 5 gallons of gasoline to travel 70 kilometers. If the price of gasoline is $2.85 per gallon, how much less, to the nearest cent per kilometer, will it cost to run the scooter after his dad does some mechanical work?

    5*2.85/70 = 0.2035714285

    7*2.85/85 = 0.2347058823

    0.2035714285 - 0.2347058823 = - 0.03113445372

    It costs 3 cent per kilometer less after the work.
