Which transformations have been applied to the graph of f (x) = x2 to produce the graph of g (x) = - 5x2 100x - 450? check all that apply. 1 / the graph of f (x) = x2 is shifted up 25 units. 2 / the graph of f (x) = x2 is shifted up 50 units. 3 / the graph of f (x) = x2 is shifted down 950 units. 4 / the graph of f (x) = x2 is shifted left 10 units. 5 / the graph of f (x) = x2 is shifted right 10 units. 6 / the graph of f (x) = x2 is reflected over the x-axis.

    F (x) = x^2

    g (x) = - 5x^2 + 100 x - 450 = - 5 (x^2 - 20x + 90) = - 5 (x^2 - 20x + 100 - 10) =

    -5 (x^2 - 20x + 100) + 50 = - 5 (x - 10) ^2 + 50

The negative sign in front of x^2 means that the graph f (x) = x^2 is reflected over the x-axis.

The constant term + 50 means that the reflected graph is shifted up 50 units.

The 10 subtracting from x inside the parenthesis means that the graph is shifted 10 units to right.

The 5 multiplying the term x^2 means that the graph is stretched upward, but this is not mentioned.
