The sum of 3 consecutive even numbers is 132. What is the third number in this sequence?

    Let the smallest integer be x.

    The next greater one is x + 2.

    The greatest one is x + 4.

    x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 132

    3x + 6 = 132

    3x = 126

    x = 42

    42 is the smallest one.

    x + 4 = 46

    Answer: The greatest of the three integers is 46.
