If Kendra started working at 10:30 a. m. and left at 6:15 p. m., how many hours of work should she record for the day on her time card?

    From 12 PM to 6 PM is 6 hours From 11 AM to 12 PM is 1 hour We are left with 30 minutes (from 10:30 AM to 11 AM) + 15 minutes (from 6 PM to 6:15 PM), so total time (add up what we have) is 7 hours and 45 minutes.
