An office needs to order carpet for the waiting room. The room measures 30 feet by 24 feet. The carpet is sold in square yards. How many square yards of carpet are needed? Remember, Area = Length X Width.

    Area of one square yards of carpet=1*1=1 square feet

    area of the room=30*24

    =720 square feet

    720 square yards of carpet are needed
