    7cm

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Area = Length x width

    A = 35

    w = L - 2

    L = w + 2

    Now it becomes

    35 = (w+2) x w

    35 = w^2 + 2w

    W^2 + 2w - 35 = 0

    By Factorization we have

    (w + 7) (w-5)

    w = 5cm

    Since L = w + 2, we have

    L = 5 + 2

    = 7cm
