    Xg = (80g * 100) / 160

    By increasing 60%, now the recipe is using 160% of the original amount.

    Let the original amount be x.

    160% of x = 80

    160% * x = 80

    1.6x = 80

    x = 80/1.6

    x = 50

    Answer: The original amount was 50 g.

    Check:

    Let's add 60% of 50 g to 50 g.

    60% * 50 g = 0.6 * 50 = 30 g

    50g + 30 g = 80 g

    Since by adding 60% of 50 g to 50 g we do get 80 g, out answer above is correct.
