Convert them into improper fractions (form a/b) and then divide them by inverting the secodn fraction and multiply them

You can of course use a calculator, but if you can't, just put them into improper fractions. So 2 3/4 as an example would be 11/4. So if you had 2 3/4 divided by 4 1/2, you'd have (11/4) / (9/2).
When you divide fractions, you can multiply by the reciprocal. So you'd go (11/4) • (2/9) = 22/36=
11/18
