1/7 is less than 1/5 because 1 part out of 7 is going to be smaller than 1 part out of 5.
Also, if you find the common denominator (35), then it will become 5/35 and 7/35, and you can tell now that 5/35 is less than 7/35 so 1/7 is less than 1/5.

Ye 1/7 less because when you add 7 parts on a square and 1/5 put 5parts on a square who has many space and the 1/7 square has little squares
