If the number of bacteria in a colony doubles every 400 hours and there is currently a population of 500 bacteria, what will the population be 800 hours from now?

    2000 bacterias

    suppose, x is the bacteria

    there are 500x. for the first 400 hours, the 500 x will double which gives=

    500x2=1000 bacterias

    then the next 400 hours, the 1000x will double which gives=

    1000x2=2000 bacterias
