    Apricots are $0.30 each and limes are $0.20 each

    Step-by-step explanation:

    2x + 1y = 0.70

    (2x + 3y = 1.30) - 1 Multiply by - 1 to cancel out the 2x on both equations

    2x + 1y = 0.70

    -2x - 3y = - 1.30 Add both equations

    -2y = - 0.6 Divide both sides by - 2

    y = 0.3

    Plug this into the first equation to solve for x

    2x + 1 (0.3) = 0.70 Multiply

    2x + 0.3 = 0.70

    - 0.3 - 0.3 Subtract 0.3 from both sides

    2x = 0.4 Divide both sides by 2

    x = 0.2
