Which information is necessary to solve this story problem?

There were 16 people at a backyard barbeque. The barbeque lasted for 4 hours. Barry bought 2 hot dogs for each person. Each hot dog cost $1.25. How much did Barry spend altogether?

4 hours, 16 people, 2 hot dogs

    A is the answer because to actually get the answer you would have to find out how much 2 hot dogs cost which is $2.50 and so it says how much money did he spend altogether - so you would have multiply 16 and $2.50 to get your answer and thats why A is the answer
