Given : An oil blend costing = $1.50 per ounce.

Glycerin costing = $1.00 per ounce.

In the given options g variable is taken.

So, let us assume number of ounces of glycerin = g ounces.

We are given, "Four ounces of lotion costs $5.50."

Therefore, total quantity of the lotion is given = 4 ounces.

Expression for number of ounces of oil blend = Total ounces of the lotion 4 - number of ounces of glycerin = (4 - g) ounces.

Cost per for (4 - g) ounces of oil blend = Number of ounces of oil blend * Oil blend costing per ounce.

    Therefore, Cost per for (4 - g) ounces of oil blend = (4-g) * 1.50

Therefore, (4-g) 1.50 could replace x on the table.

Therefore, first option (4 - g) 1.5 is correct option.
