    1 cup = 48 teaspoons.

    1/4 of a cup or (1/4 of 48 teaspoons) is : 1/4 (48) = 48/4 = 12 teaspoons.

    So a batch of muffins uses 12 teaspoons.

    227 / 12 = 18.9 ... so you can make 18 whole batches <==

    2.49 / 18 = 0.138 rounds to $ 0.14 per batch <==
